Penguin Group and Lantern publishing were looking for a digital partner to support the App development of 3 universal iOS applications, for 3 of their high profile celebrity Chef authors, to be downloaded on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices.

Subsequent to the first project and its success, Penguin called for the development of a further two projects, appointing Gomeeki with the task of creating the perfect digital complement to Zoe Fosters’ beauty bible, ‘Amazing Face’ and David Gillespie’s ‘Sweet Poison’.

The Gary & George, Maggie Beer and Kylie Kwong apps for iPad and iPhone were developed in collaboration with Penguins in-house design and creative team to provide an easy-to-use restaurateurs guide to a feast of classic recipes with detailed instructions, gorgeous colour photography and exclusive how-to videos. The apps also enabled social media sharing and the creation of instant shopping lists.

Zoe Fosters ‘Amazing Face’ App incorporates the same step-by-step instructions, stunning photography, shopping lists, social media sharing and exclusive how-to beauty videos. Gomeeki also utilised the devices camera functionality to allow users to store photos and notes about their favourite products and use the front-facing camera as a mirror when mastering new makeup looks.
